// INTRODUCTION
My name is Péter Golyán, and Mortinaré is a music and visual project where I unify my ideas related to sound design, music and moving picture on a common ground - from an experimental and storytelling perspective.
I have been producing and performing electronic music - as Lank - for roughly 20 years, and since 2017, I have also been working in art departments of international film productions. As a result of the mating between these two art forms in my head, this concept gradually emerged, where I am trying to create and develop a cohesive sound, aesthetic, and atmosphere.
The project draws inspiration from dark rooms and vast open spaces, concrete and nature, tradition and technology,
the end of the world, and a bright future.
A restless phantasmagoria that blends influences from early cinematic memories and stop-motion creatures to grunge-style visuals and painted backgrounds of otherworldly sets, hand-in-hand with a sonic
backdrop, that may occasionally push the limits of your speakers… or even your sanity.
